Supporting Success in Mathematics
One of the greatest impacts a parent can have on student success in mathematics is achieved by being actively involved in their education. Students are ten times more likely to improve their performance in math, if there is strong parent engagement.* So thank-you for visiting this page and being engaged.
This year Brittan Elementary School is implementing a multi-tiered intervention program to support student success in math. I will be working in collaboration with classroom teachers to provide timely and engaging support for students.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Tier 1- additional resources and learning opportunities in the classroom
Tier 2- re-engagement in small groups on grade level content
Tier 3- re-engagement in small groups on prerequisite content
As a veteran teacher and mathematics instructional leader I am excited to witness the growth of our students during this process. Go Bears!
